Our new apartment community is nestled behind the Kiln Creek Commercial District and accessible to fine dining, shopping and movies.  Find everything you need for a quick lunch out or stock up for dinner in.  Enjoy a movie or live music all within a short walk or drive from your brand new apartment.

Grocery Stores:

Kroger:  This brand new updated Kroger is the talk of Newport News/York County, offering fresh produce at great prices.  Insider hint: Use your Kroger card to save on gas at the station at the front of Village Green.

Farm Fresh:  Did you know Farm Fresh was founded in Virginia Beach, and the name was picked from a local contest?  

Entertainment:

Regal Cinemas:  Walk over to this classic movie theater and enjoy the latest blockbuster. This 20 screen theater has all the snacks you can eat and a game room. Insider hint: Join the Regal Crown Club for discounts and freebies.

Hampton Roads IcePlex:  Strengthen your ankles or put your teeth at risk playing hockey at the Peninsula's only ice skating rink.  Check out their website for public skating times.

Dining Out:

Second Street Café:  Fine dining at its best-exquisite menu from seafood to steak, wine connoisseurs are welcome.  Sit outside on a nice day!  Insider hint:  The carrot cake is to die for.Second Street

Unos Pizzeria & Grill: Looking for a local pub with live atmosphere to watch your favorite sport or dine in relax?  We’ve found your place. Insider hint: We hook you up with free Uno's pizza at move in. 

Foodcraft:  If we could eat out somewhere everyday, we would have the French Toast and homestyle fries. Everyday... that's how good it is!

Starbucks:  Two to choose from, one in the Kroger and one stand alone, you know exactly what to expect from this-- good coffee.  Insider hint: You can order on your phone and skip the line!

Subway:  When you are tired of the burgers, turn to Subway for a fresher, healthier dinner.

Chic-fil-A:  Not just one, but two drive thru lanes help this delicious food be even faster.  Visit the Victory Blvd location website for fun weekday events.

Arby's:  Who doesn't have fond memories of the Jamocha shake and Roast Beef?  Arby's has been around for a while and the folks at this location are always smiling.

Saisaki Asian Bistro and Sushi Bar:  We've heard from locals that this is the best place to get Asian food on the Peninsula!  Insider hint: Visit the headless men at the door for awesome photo opportunities.

Stores Nearby:

AC Moore: Get in touch with your creative side at this craft and floral store.  Knit one, purl two, or decoupage your dresser- you can find your supplies right here.

K-Mart:  K-Mart has had some great tag lines over the years (who can forget a "blue light special" and "I shipped my pants"?). You can stroll over to find household goods, plants and more.

Becky's Hallmark: You'll never be caught without a card and gift because you can walk to this cute shop.  

 

 A 2 Minute Drive: 

Texas Roadhouse: Technically, you could walk but if you eat too much, it might be uncomfortable getting home.  Check out the website for weekday specials.

Ruby Tuesday: This chain is known for its salad bar, but keep your eyes out for coupons in the mail as well.

Newport News Target: Dangerously close.  Go in for a toothbrush and you'll end up redecorating your bedroom.

Tech Center Square: This brand new shopping area has everything!

Ultra:  Find make up and other beauty supplies.

Whole Foods:  We've been waiting for this grocery store to come to our area.  Whole Foods is known for being environmentally aware.

Five and Under:  This is the place to get cheap phone covers, boogie boards, sunglasses, hats, socks, and fun gifts for kids.  Everything is under $5, in case you didn't get that from the name.

Stein Mart:  Voted the world's best department store (according to their website) you can find designer items for less.

DSW: Buy all the shoes.

York County Walmart: Insider hint: They have a gas station in front that offers low prices.

Yoder Barn Theater:  A small venue given to Christopher Newport University in 2007, the barn was built in 1935, and features small plays and musicals.  Right across the street is the CNU Lifelong Learning Society.

An 8 Minute Drive: 

Tucanos Brazilian Grill:  Cuisine at its finest so for the hungry hearted- all you can eat churrasco (grilled meat dishes) and specialty skewers in a vibrant space.

The Cove Tavern:  Great night out on the town with live bands every week. Insider hint:  Happy Hour is from 3-7 Monday- Friday, with $2 beers and drinks for $2.50.

Scratch Bakery:  Are you in the mood for a homemade cupcake or a have a wedding on the way?  Stop by and sample one today.  Insider hint: Watch their Facebook for give-aways!

Aromas Coffee Shop:  For informal business meetings, catching up with old friends, or listening to local singers, this is the best local coffee shop in town.  Free WiFi.

Maggie Moo’s: Delightful frozen treats mixed before your eyes.  It’s a great place to visit on a hot summer day.
